About us

Presently, Pastor Fox works a full time secular job in Williamsburg as a “tent maker” to provide for his family and help establish the ministry here.  He was born September 11, 1962 at Fort Eustis, Virginia, and was raised in the home of Christian parents who loved the Lord and honored Him.  He was saved at 7 and was later baptized.  He accepted God’s call on him to preach on February 18, 1982.  By God’s grace, He has been preaching the Bible for over 35 years.  He has pastored churches in North Carolina, Ohio, and Pennsylvania.

In May of 2007, while attending the viewing and funeral service of a U.S. Marine killed in Iraq by enemy fire, God brought to bear upon the heart of Pastor Fox all of those serving voluntarily in our military.  Our military folks are the most amazing people in our nation – they need to hear the Gospel message and glean the strength from the Bible to do the exceedingly great task in which they are serving us.

Military families need the support, encouragement, and love of Godly people here at home when their loved ones are deployed.  Having lived in a military home as a young boy here in Virginia and New Jersey, Pastor Fox understands the burdens, challenges, and needs of our military families.

God has burdened the heart of Pastor Fox for the need of an independent Baptist church near Williamsburg, and Ft. Eustis, Virginia.

God has also given Pastor Fox the ministry of Elder John Leland to help proclaim the message of God’s freedom in Jesus Christ here in Virginia.  Elder Leland was the man who convinced James Madison to write a Bill of Rights in the U.S. Constitution.

Mrs. Ruth Fox was born September 8, in New London, Connecticut, and is the daughter of Pastor and Mrs. Duane Sweet who served the Lord in churches in Connecticut; Pennsylvania; Long Island, NY; and Michigan.  She came to know the Lord Jesus as her Savior as a young girl and was baptized.  God laid on her heart during her years in Bible college to be the wife of a Pastor.  She spent her years in college preparing for the ministry that God would bring her to, and where she has labored faithfully for the past 25 years as the priceless help meet to her husband.

God has blessed the Foxes with four children, Sarah, Kyle, Andrew, Jared.  Three have completed their homeschool education.

In 2015 Harbor Baptist Church of Hampton, VA became our sending church to oversee, encourage and assist this greatly needed ministry.  In addition, several churches in the Tidewater area are supporting us in prayer and labor to reach this area for the Lord Jesus Christ.

Through several events in the lives of the Fox family, there is no doubt that God has moved them here to the Williamsburg area to establish a church here for God’s glory!
